Relationship with God
Many people believe that God is real, they also believe that He is watching from a distance and is judging the good deeds verse the bad and has no real desire to know them personally.
God desires to have a personal relationship with you!
"God loves us and wants to be a part of our lives. In trying times or times of hurt, He wants to be there to help comfort and strengthen, and he wants to rejoice with us in the happy times.
"God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him." (1 John 4:9)
Jesus says ...
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." (John 10:10)
God has a plan for your life!
You were born by his purpose and for his purpose.
The Bible says ...
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:11-13)
Jesus says ...
"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)
The Problem
Adam & Eve's disobediance to God cause sin to enter this world and caused humankind to be seperated from God because of sin.
God is pure and holy and cannot be joined together by sin.
It makes no difference how much or how little you've sinned, you still fall short of God's perfection.
The Bible says ...
"For all have sinned; all fall short of God's glorious standard." (Romans 3:23)
The Bible also says, that the wages of sin is death.
God's Free Gift
God sent His one and only Son Jesus into this world to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin. (John: 3:16)
God has offered this to us as a Free Gift, all we have to do is receive it!!
How do we receive this gift?
1) Admit that you are a sinner (someone who broke God's laws) and need to be changed.
2) Acknowledge that you cannot save yourself..."Saving is all His idea, and all His work. All we do is trust Him enough to let him do it. It's God's gift from start to finish!
3) Believe that Jesus died as your substitute on the cross to pay for your sins... "Each one of us has turned to go his own way, and the Lord has laid all our sins on Him." (Isaiah 53:6) GODSWORD
4) Confess your sin and trust Jesus by doing what He says instead of what you think. Do it today..."For if you tell others with your own mouth that Jesus Christ is your Lord and believe in your own heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 LB "Give up your crooked ways and your evil thoughts. Return to the Lord our God. He will be merciful and forgive your sins." (Isaiah 55:7) CEV
Pray this prayer from your heart now:
Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my personal Lord and Savior.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
